Album "rutekia"   Song introduction

 

The first track, "Pheasant," uses a field recording of the actual voice of a pheasant that lives near my house.

 

The second track, "Please Listen to the End," uses the voice of a cicada called a higurashi. My daughter and wife's voices were recorded at the end of the recording, but I thought it was interesting so I used it as is.

 

The third track, "Dancehall," features my friend Okaken, who I've known since high school, playing the drums.

 

The fourth track, "singing bowl with sea," as the title suggests, uses the sound of a singing bowl and the sea.

 

The fifth track, "Bird improvisation," used the sound of a skylark halfway through the song, and it sounded like an improvisation, so I used that as the title.

 

The sixth track, "Shark," features Okaken playing the drums. I deliberately shifted the timing of the bass to express a crowded atmosphere.

 

The seventh track, "0 o'clock," was named after Cinderella because adding the sound of bells at the end reminded me of Cinderella. I used tree chimes and rain sticks.

 

The eighth track, "early morning," was named after the song I made early in the morning. It's a minimalist song.

 

The ninth track, "enjoy the lag," is out of sync in every way. It's interesting to try to figure out how many there are. It's also minimalist.

 

The tenth track, "Ensemble with R," is a minimalist song with Okaken on drums.

 

The eleventh track, "singing bowl with frog," uses a recording of a chorus of frogs near my house.

 

The twelfth track, "I've been asking for it," was created with the image of a fusion of orchestra and electronic sounds. The title comes from the feeling I got when listening to the song.

 

The 13th track, "singing bowl with insects," uses field recordings of cicadas, birds, cicadas, and crickets.

 

The 14th track, "morning," was recorded in the grounds of a shrine, and a prayer for the eradication of COVID-19 began, so I used that.

 

The 15th track, "Like the OX," features Okaken's drums. The highlight of the track is that Okaken's drums are perfectly in sync with the loop panned left and right.

 

The 16th track, "flow," uses field recordings and the sound of a river dam, and was created with the image of Christian baptism.

 

The 17th track, "Hare to Ke," uses modulation to express everyday life and special days. In the old days in Japan, special days were called hare, and everyday life was called ke.

 

The 18th track, "kangaroo," expresses chaos. It's quite powerful when you listen to it with good audio, so please give it a try.

 

The 19th track, "intuition," uses sounds recorded in the field at another shrine. It was raining a little.

1曲目の「雉」は、うちの近くにいる、実際の雉の声をフィールドレコーディングして使っています。

 

2曲目の「please listen to the end」は、ひぐらしという蝉の声を使っています。録音の最後の方に娘と妻の声が入ってしまいましたが、面白かったのでそのまま使いました。

 

3曲目の「Dancehall」は、高校の時からの友人のオカケンにドラムを叩いてもらっています。

 

4曲目の「singing bowl with sea」は、その題名どおり、シンギングボウルと海の音を使っています。

 

5曲目の「Bird improvisation」は、曲の途中からヒバリの声を使ったら、即興のようだったので、それを曲名にしました。

 

6曲目の「Shark」は、オカケンにドラムを叩いてもらっています。あえてベースのタイミングをずらして、混雑した様子を表現しています。

 

7曲目の「0 o’clock 」は、最後に鐘の音を追加したら、シンデレラを彷彿とさせられたので、この曲名にしました。ツリーチャイムと、レインスティックを使っています。

 

8曲目の「early morning」は、作ったのが早朝だったので、この曲名にしました。ミニマルミュージック系です。

 

9曲目の「enjoy the lag」は、あらゆるところがズレています。何個ぐらいあるか探してみるのも面白いでしょう。やはりミニマルミュージック系です。

 

10曲目の「Ensemble with R」は、オカケンにドラムを叩いてもらったミニマルミュージック系の曲です。

 

11曲目の「singing bowl with frog」はうちの近くのカエルの合唱を録音したものを使っています。

 

12曲目の「I’ve been asking for it」は、オーケストラと電子音の融合をイメージして作りました。曲を聴いて感じた気持ちを曲名にしています。

 

13曲目の「singing bowl with insect」は、蝉の声、鳥の声、ひぐらしの声、コウロギの声などをフィールドレコーディングして使っています。

 

14曲目の「morning」は、神社の境内で録音していたら、コロナ撲滅のための祈りが始まってしまったので、それを使わせていただきました。

 

15曲目の「Like The OX」は、オカケンのドラムです。LRにパンニングしたループに、オカケンのドラムが全くズレていないところが聴きどころです。

 

16曲目の「flow」は、フィールドレコーディングと、川の堰の音を使っていて、キリスト教のバプテスマのイメージで作りました。

 

17曲目の「ハレとケ」は、転調を使って、日常と特別な日を表現しています。昔の日本では特別な日をハレと言い、日常をケと言いました。

 

18曲目の「kangaroo」は、混沌を表現しました。良いオーディオで聴くと、なかなかの迫力ですので、是非試してください。

 

19曲目の「intuition」は、別の神社でフィールドレコーディングした音を使っています。少し雨が降っていました。
